Material Composition and Structure:A cast high-leaded tin bronze based on copper with tin, lead and zinc additions. The lead phase is distributed throughout the alloy matrix to improve machinability and reduce friction. Hollow stock can be machined to customer drawings into bushings, sleeves and bearing rings.
Performance and Application Characteristics:Good machinability, low-friction characteristics and seizure resistance. Suitable for general-purpose plain bearings, machine-tool bushings and mechanical sleeves. Lubrication grooves and holes can be machined to suit operating conditions. Actual load capacity and service life depend on load, speed, running clearance and lubrication conditions.
Standard Designations:GB/T 1176, GB/T 5231, ASTM B505, ASTM B271, ASTM B584, EN 1982, ISO 4383, JIS H 5121, BS 1400, DIN 17656
